I love the way this western shirt pairs alongside the grungier-looking bag and skirt to create something that actually looks more preppy chic than anything else. I love mixing varying pieces like this to create a more unexpected look. For me today, the fun is in the details, like this ‘I love Jason’ pin from my mother-in-law attached to my bag and this gold polish matted to accentuate the other metal details. How cute is it that my mother-in-law used to wear this pin for her son and passed it along to me after Jason and I were married?
After way too many NYFW events in uncomfortable heels, I’ve been living in these Asos oxfords for days. Originally I was planning to wear my Zara tan and black pumps instead and just walk to work in these but found sometimes easier really is better!
Heading home upstate in a couple hours for a jam-packed weekend filled with friends, family, a wedding, lunch with Grandma and a brand new precious baby! I’ll try to snap some pictures tomorrow to show you just how different my current scenery is from my small town upbringing! xoxo.
