JAIMEN LEE

Wearing: Daytime Blacktie

wearing: dress: boutique in china, tights: American Apparel, pumps: Pema, feather bag: c/o Eloquii, leopard belt: Forever 21, spiked headband: diy (great tutorial here), bracelets/rings: Forever 21 and pearls from china, bow brooch: vintage thrifted, shellac nails: CND  in ‘tropix,’ makeup:  Elizabeth Arden cream blush in ‘pink’ on cheeks and lips.

this dress is the last of my peter pan-collared scores from china (i also grabbed a polka dot blouse and sequin-collared dress!) and probably about the easiest thing in my closet to wear. it’s decorative enough on its own, so a quick accessory and tights and really all i needed to think about grabbing before i headed out this morning. you may notice it bears a striking resemblance to my Erin Fetherston for Target dress i wore less than a month ago and why yes it does, but there’s a method to my duplicate purchase you see.

if you take that stroll back to my EF post, you’ll see a bevy of wrinkles, seen just hours after a thorough ironing. i guess i just sit and move and shuffle way too much during the day to keep anything unwrinkled and dresses like that are best kept for more iron-and-go-stand-not-sit-so-much situations. for this reason, there was a need for a new, yet similar dress that isn’t wrinkle-prone but carries that same classic look i’m obsessed with. see two of the same thing aren’t the worst idea! xoxo.
