Wearing: Lavender Lush

wearing: ballet dress (worn as shirt): Forever 21, velvet skirt: boutique in china, booties: vintage via Spiga, leopard belt and bag: Forever 21, necklace: c/o Eloquii, bracelets: Forever 21, vintage, purchased in china, shellac nails: CND ‘tropix,’ makeup: The Balm shady lady shadow in ‘shameless shana,’ Sephora shadow in ‘glittering sand’ and Maybelline lipstick in ‘coral lustre.’
this is the last of my unbelievably cheap finds from various boutiques in china. its the most beautiful shade of lavender and it’s velvet texture makes it all the more lush, showing shades of gray and pink when the light hits in various angles. it holds it own for sure, so a simple gray top was the perfect addition.
you guys i have to tell you the most insane story - my global ceo called me into her office yesterday and proceeded to give me a vintage Alexander McQueen coat - with the signature quilted bodice and the most insane fur hood. i almost cried. how can you thank someone enough with something you’ll never be able to afford on your own? i feel truly blessed… and the timing couldn’t be better as i’m attending Rebecca Minkoff’s spring 2012 collection preview tomorrow and my knee-length puffer just wasn’t cutting it! can’t wait to share photos of the coat tomorrow! xoxo.
