next up in my Secret Garden Spring Series collab with photographer bri johnson showcases the pale mint green i’m obsessing over for the season. and because too much pale can get boring, the neon yellow nails add a nice pop of color. i created this crown of baby’s breath on the drive to the shoot and it’s really simple to do. here’s what you’ll need: thin wire (about three feet), wire cutting scissors and one - two large bouquets of baby’s breath.

first, cut a piece of wire roughly the size of the top of your head. wrap it into an oval and twist the edges to close. next, cut one - two inch pieces of baby’s breath and secure outwards with a two inch piece of the wire, twisting the wire around the baby’s breath one or two times. go all the way around and fill in with smaller pieces of baby’s breath where you see gaps.

in an upcoming series, i’ll showcase how i took this crown and added brighter flowers to it for a different effect. after you’ve worn it to say, coachella or frolicking in the woods, bring it back to your bedroom and hang off the corner of a mirror. it will dry and look beautiful!

in case you missed it, you can see my Secret Garden Spring Series: Kicking Daisies post from last week here. hope you have a great weekend!! i’ll be spending lots of time with the ones i love and wishing nicolette a happy birthday alongside sara, gabi and jess!!
