having well tailored, fine-fabric ladylike pieces in my closet is something i haven’t always realized was an essential. i love wearing fun and youthful garb everyday but have recently found myself really drawn towards some more refined, adult combinations like this one i’m wearing for a client meeting today. the tapered pants are so breathable, as is this loose top with its draped curtain-like back. and to ensure i still feel like myself, patterns and fun accessories are a must, especially anything with a tribal or safari feel.

i’ve been doing so many braided up-dos of late and can almost guarantee with the warmer weather approaching it will remain a summer constant. its actually super easy too: take all the hair in front of your ears and pin it out of the way. take a two inch strip above your ear and braid down. do the same to the other. cross and pin both across the top of your head. pull loose hair from front back and into a ponytail with all hair. the hair in the front should cover the beginnings of the braids. braid pony tail, twist into a bun and pin. wa-la! xoxo.
