i’m such a sucker for animal print and patterns so when a cropped tee including both presents itself to me, it’s hard to resist. crop tops are pretty hard to wear to the office but i’m loving how many there are at Forever 21 right now. i just hiked my skirt way up and it works. it’s a bit wild and i’ve been called jungle boogie and jane and tarzan today but i’m willing to take it - i just love this top!! xoxo.

i definitely feel dressed to go to a polo match of some sort. i’m not and actually headed to an event this evening at Thompson hotel to preview a bunch of brands new collections, but i love the look anyways. i’m always mixing prints and most of the time, it involves some polka dots or breton stripes. i saw this sleeveless polo at Forever 21 this past weekend and for the sake of time, tried it on with the pants i wore on monday. to my surprise, they actually looked really cool together and are inspiring me to expand my mixing a bit! i’ll post some pics tonight/tomorrow from the event so stay tuned (hint hint…. Danielle Nicole’s new collection will be on display and if you liked the ‘jelly dome’ i wore last week, you’ll likely love the whole awesomely-affordable line!) xoxo.

wearing: blouse: vintage, dress: H&M, Luichiny ‘jayne’ flatform: c/o Wild Pair, ‘lindsey link clutch’: c/o Elly Clay, headband: diy, bracelets: Forever 21, nails: OPI in ‘nicole alert,’ makeup: Sephora lipstick in ‘it girl’ and shadow in ‘glittering sand.’
as erin noted today and to which i emphatically agreed, i have a very wednesday adams thing going on with this outfit. it feels a little uncomfortable to me, as i always lean more towards pretty things, but dressing a bit darker is fun to play around with once and a while, and for me, forces me to come out of my comfort zone and avoid getting in a fashion funk. to ease the style transition, i tried to pick a bunch of feminine things that can look a bit darker when paired together. this blouse is actually a sheer capelet but i rigged it to function as a blouse and i think its pretty convincing.
i’m going to the eBay ‘you can’t fake fashion’ event tonight to preview the designer-crafted totes that raise awareness against counterfeits with ms. zucker and according to the invite, we’ll be able to make our own - i suck at these types of things so based on the result you may or may not be able to expect internet images of said creation. i’ll def. be posting the designer’s creations on twitter, fb, instagram, pinterest blah blah blah… so stay tuned! xoxo.
