remember spirit week in high school? the obligatory 80’s and pyjama dressing days that were sort of awful and fun at the same time? i’d like to think of this leap year day as mix-and-match day, one that celebrates the good patterns in your closet all at the same time. not that once pulled together, this resembles anything insane, but it just makes dressing a bit more fun. anyways, i’m making no sense at this point so i’ll just move on.
headed to a fun pampering event tonight with my fellow Nolcha board members and i’m bringing a very special guest, the one and only internet sensation and one of my fav people sbz. there will be led light treatments, there will be enzyme masks, there will be organic wine…and i will be in heaven. xoxo.

wearing: jean shirt: Marshall’s, skirt: H&M, tights: American Apparel, patent pumps: Zara, bag: c/o Elly Clay, sweater clip/earrings: vintage, bracelets: Forever 21, H&M, c/o BaubleBar and vintage, nails: Butter London in ‘The Full Monty,’ makeup: Sephora lipstick in ‘it girl’ and Smashbox fushion soft lights in ‘baked starlight,’ hair: Batiste dry shampoo in ‘blush’ scent (my new favorite d.s.).
you’re not loosing your mind, i wore this very same jean shirt just two days ago and here i am wearing it again! while this tangerine skirt holds endless pairing possibilities in the warmer months, tights, preferably black ones are in order with this cold. combine the two and one is left with very few top options that look just right — for me, black looked too matchy-matchy and actually quite tacky and other shade just added too much brightness. just as jeans are the always-matching bottom, the same goes for tops, so i love that (after a fabric refresh) i was able to wear this again!
headed from work to the Ivana Helsinki party tonight with sara and am really hoping they’ll have video from her just-previewed collection, which just previewed at nyfw today!! will make sure to upload pics/live tweet/gawk at celebrities and fashion bloggers, etc. have a great weekend and stay tuned for a (slightly later than planned) roundup from Nolcha Fashion Week events last night! xoxo.

last week after attending the Amsale event, the awesome/hilarious jessica chu and i headed down to The Little Shoe Store for the launch of The Odd Slipper, a new line of trend- and classically-styled shoes made for ladies with the tiniest of feet. in fact, they make everything from ballet flats to sky-high heels in sizes as small as 3! of course, the prettiest tiny feet present were those of ms. sara zucker, who was a featured host and donned the ‘gina,’ pictured next to her above.
my favorites, seen side by side above were the ‘anna’ and the ‘keri;’ both incredibly classic but also very comfortable.
beyond stunning shoes that solve a problem many petite ladies face, the company has an incredibly smart and modern way in which they bring their shoe offerings to market - through crowdsourcing. each week, The Odd Slipper presents new designs for ladies to vote and comment on. that input directly decides which shoes will be produced and shortly after they become available for purchase. in a area of the market in which ladies are most discerning, allowing their input before business and product decisions are made seems almost obvious but has never been done with shoes before. hats off and let’s hope others follow! xoxo.
