Wearing: The Finance Look

where i work in flatiron, we have plenty of “blueshirts,” that is men who work in finance and all wear some form of blue button-up every single day. it’s like some weird cult rule they all follow, although it isn’t actually a job requirement. anyways, i’ve clearly been inspired to take on a bit of a finance look myself, dressed down quite a bit of course!
i love the white collar of this particular button-up; it’s from H&M’s basic line and retails under $20. it’s created to fit more tailored but i purchased it a few sizes bigger to give a more relaxed menswear look. xoxo.

i love plaid lately. alongside all black of course. xoxo.
if i’m honest with myself, despite my current obsession with masculine pieces in black and white, my true love lies with pastels and pretty shapes. for that reason, every season, like clockwork, i see Calla’s presentation and rethink every new trend i’m trying and revert. Calla’s f/w 2014 collection to me is like the most angelic high school girl circa the fifties, who attends prom, goes apple picking , to the drive in and wears her football-playing boyfriend’s jacket when she gets cold. by far one of my favorite collections from this season! xoxo.
